The shell is 400-denier double poly-coated nylon canvas spun from 100% recycled post-consumer material, treated with a non-PFC DWR finish, and reinforced with a 900-denier waterproof bottom liner. Hardware is anodized aluminum and glass-reinforced nylon; zippers are weatherproof UltraZips sewn with abrasion-resistant UHMWPE thread.
The lifetime parts-and-labor warranty is the headline, but the more interesting commitment is the refurbishment program: Peak Design repairs damaged bags in-house and resells certified-used units rather than letting them hit a landfill. Pack Hacker has carried this bag through three generations of testing and still recommends it.
At roughly $89. 95, the cost-per-year over a 10-year lifespan lands near $9 — less than a single replacement of a $40 nylon sling that fails every two years.
The Everyday Sling 6L is the rare camera bag that doubles as an EDC pouch without compromising either role.
