The tempered glass bodies are oven-safe, microwave-safe, freezer-safe, and dishwasher-safe — they do not stain, warp, absorb odors, or leach chemicals regardless of how many times they cycle through temperature extremes. The TrueSeal lids use a silicone gasket for a leak-resistant closure that keeps food fresh longer than snap-on plastic alternatives.
Glass does not degrade over time the way plastic does; a container purchased today will look and perform identically in twenty years. The lids are the weak point — the silicone gaskets can lose elasticity after years of dishwasher cycles — but replacement lids are readily available.
