The body is true 5-ply construction -- 18/10 stainless interior, three aluminum layers, and a magnetic stainless exterior -- bonded under pressure rather than draped together like cheaper clad cookware. The TriplInduc base works on every cooktop including induction, and the welded handle has no rivets to trap food or eventually loosen.
Demeyere backs the Industry5 line with a 30-year limited guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship, and the Belgian factory still services pans through its repair program. At roughly $200 retail, that is under $7 per year over the warranty period -- less than replacing a discount nonstick saucepan every two years for the same span.
The 3-quart size handles stocks, custards, and rice perfectly, and the heavy-gauge walls hold a simmer without scorching the bottom. This is the saucepan equivalent of structural engineering.
