The M'150s 1. 9-quart saucepan is 90% copper bonded to 10% 18/10 stainless steel at 1.

5mm thick — the professional standard for serious copper cookware, conducting heat roughly twenty times faster and more evenly than stainless alone. Cast stainless steel handles riveted (not welded) to the body, a food-safe stainless lining that requires no re-tinning, and Mauviel's lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on home-use cookware back the build.

Copper is the only cookware category where chefs and home cooks routinely report passing pans down across generations; the fundamentals — a thick conductor metal lined with an inert food-contact metal — haven't changed since the 17th century. At roughly $300, the M'150s 1.

9-quart saucepan works out to under $10 per year over a conservative 30-year ownership window, and routinely lasts longer. Copper does not wear out.

It develops patina.
